Our Hereon team at the Sachsenwaldlauf

In September, the time had come: our Hereon team took part in the 2025 Sachsenwaldlauf race! Motivated colleagues from various departments joined in, representing team spirit, exercise and fun in shared sport. We celebrated this day together – as a team, with exercise, socialising and good spirits!

Retirement Planning in Focus

In autumn 2025, Hereon highlighted the importance of early orientation with three well-attended information events on pensions – in cooperation with the German Pension Insurance, VBL, and FindyourPension. International researchers also gained valuable insights into planning for retirement. Additional offerings on life phases and retirement planning are already in preparation.

Hereon has its headquarters in Geesthacht, around 20 kilometres from the gates of Hamburg, surrounded by greenery and beautifully situated on the banks of the River Elbe. And how do you get to us?
By bike, by car (finding a parking space is not an issue here) and by public transport: The HVV buses run every hour in 30 minutes, e.g. from Bergedorf central bus station directly to our campus.
